So I've been absent from the blogging game for a while. I need to get back in to the habit of writing more and I am going to commit to at least one post per week from now. If anything t may just be a beer review, but I might be bragging about my fantasy football team here too. I heard "Once in a Lifetime" by The Talking Heads and it's been grinding my gears all day.
Sitting here watching the Manning Bowl drinking a beer and now blogging.
Coming down from a mid-afternoon sugar rush from a cake tasting at Sugarland. They just give you 6 pieces of arbitrarily selected cake to try and build your wedding cake. This is supposed to be the most divine cake that your will ever eat (or lay eyes on), so Sugarland pulled out all the stops. You can do 3 different flavors of cakes on different tiers for no extra cost! BUT, you have to pay a large sum of money per head. So we are exploring more options.
I'm drinking a Dogfish Raison D'Être and I have some words on it:
VERDICT: GOOD
REPEAT: NO
This is a nice darker ale, with a sweet finish. It has some strong
malty notes, but it doesn't really stand out from the rest. I am a bit
biased because this is a year-round beer that is very similar to most of
the Oktoberfest beers I've been drinking lately and it doesn't taste
half as good as those. As many raisins as I eat, I can't seem to find
any in the taste here.
